Shabnam is a London and Germany based filmmaker. With a background in political science and mixed heritage, her work explores questions of identity and representation across short and long form fiction, documentary, music videos and commercial work. She directs, writes, self-shoots and edits. Her recent work includes fictional series for Disney+, Netflix and TV, as well as campaigns for brands such as Google, Nike and YouTube. Born and raised in Germany, she has roots in Iran, Poland and Angola and is now based in London.
